3) How long have you been in HR?

15 in Human Resources and people leadership, spanning retail, corporate, and financial services.

4) What inspired you to pursue a career in HR?

I’ve always been drawn to the people side of business. Early in my career, I learned how much leadership, culture, and communication directly impact performance and well-being. HR gave me the ability to influence all of it — supporting people while helping organizations grow in the right direction.

5) How has being a member of Eastern Iowa SHRM (EIHRA) impacted your career?

Eastern Iowa SHRM (EIHRA) has been one of the most valuable professional communities in my career. From learning alongside other HR leaders to growing through leadership opportunities, it’s shaped my perspective, sharpened my skills, and expanded my network in meaningful ways. Serving as President has been one of my proudest professional experiences.

6) What’s a hobby or interest you enjoy outside of work?

Spending time with my family, especially my daughter, traveling when I can, and anything home decor-related! I am a certified Pinterest addict. 

7) If you weren’t in HR, what would your dream job be?

A leadership role in organizational development, coaching, or teaching — somewhere I could still help people grow, scale impact, and build something meaningful.
