ASAC is seeking a full-time HR Generalist in Cedar Rapids to support the daily
operations of the Human Resources department across the full employee lifecycle. This
role ensures compliance with employment laws and organizational policies while
providing critical coordination between HRIS systems, management, and employees to
deliver consistent and responsive HR services.
As the HR Generalist you will:
Coordinate all steps of the recruiting and hiring process from advertising open
positions and sourcing candidates to partnering with hiring managers on
candidate pre-screening, interviews, selection and offer processes, as well as
manage all pre-hire processes such as reference checks, UAs, background
checks, and the accurate and timely completion of all required onboarding
paperwork in the HRIS.
Maintain employee personnel files, input employee information into the HRIS
including new hire information, wage updates and performance reviews as
required for compliance with licensure and accreditation requirements.
Generate reports from HRIS for routine compliance tasks or on demand to
support data driven decision making.
Review and update policies, job descriptions and procedures
Assist HR team with employee relations, performance and talent management
Communicate directly with managers and employees to interpret policy, address
concerns and seek feedback regarding organizational processes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and
regulations, licensure, accreditation and recommended best practice.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of HR experience, including
experience with HRIS/ATS software systems. A bachelor’s degree in human resources,
business administration, or a related field and PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
ASAC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $57,324.80 per year with
additional compensation for candidates with extensive experience in human resources.
